Photo of mountain pine

June-July. The pines take two years to mature.
It needs a great quantity of water, because it is adapted to the high mountain, between the 1500 and 2700 meters, with precipitations around 1000 mm.

For subalpine or alpine gardens.

Shade or demishade. It tolerates extreme temperatures in winter quite below 0º , although it doesn't tolerate high temperatures in summer. It resists the wind and the the freezing temperature very well, the same as the snow for which its silhouette is adapted.

Any type of soil , with a good drainage.
