Heart failure (congestive heart failure) is the inability of the heart to push blood it receives. It can affect one side or both sides of the heart. ( Right-sided heart failure or Left-sided heart failure )

Unable to adequately pump blood around the body, parts of the body that are not receiving adequate blood flow are damaged.

It is a very serious heart disease frequently affecting especially people over 65 years.

 

Types of heart failure

There are two types of heart failure:

Acute: When suddenly appears.

Chronicle: When is the result of the deterioration of the heart.

Fatigue during low effort (apnea). (Oliguria), etc.

Causes of heart failure



Acute heart failure usually occurs as a result of heart injury, as occurs in myocardial infarction.

Chronic heart failure may respond to the following causes:

- Heart disease

- Tumors of the heart

- Respiratory diseases.

- Kidney problems.

- Hypertension

- Infections that affect the heart, such as syphilis.

 

Diagnosis and treatment of heart failure
