List of foods high in cystine

LIST OF FOODS WITH A LOT OF CYSTINE

As in most amino acids, foods containing them are those with a high protein concentration:

*Animal foods rich is cystine

- Meats (pork, duck, chicken, etc.)

- Fish (hake, tuna, monkfish, etc.)

- Eggs

- Milk and dairy products

- Viscera (calf liver)

*Vegetable foods rich in cystine

- White and black mustard seeds

- Sesame seeds

- Pistachio

- Oats

- Lupins

- Asparagus

- Purslane

- Spinach

- Pulses (lentils)

- Buckwheat

- Almonds

- Legumes flour (soy flour)

- Cereals (wheat, pasta, rice, etc.)

- Nuts and seeds.

We also found concentrations of this amino acid in coffee and oat bran.
