PEPPER CONTRAINDICATIONS

Black pepper is contraindicated in the following cases

People with stomach problems. Pepper stimulates stomach acid secretions, causing irritation of the mucous membranes and may worsen the symptoms of gastritis, esophagitis, hiatal hernia, gastric ulcers, dyspepsia and heartburn. Commercial peppers are particularly irritant, because some of them have been toasted.

Intestinal diseases. Black pepper can cause outbreaks and digestive disorders to people with dumping syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, Crohn’s disease and irritable bowel syndrome.

Hemorrhoids. The pepper is contraindicated because it is irritating and can accentuate the pain caused by hemorrhoids.

People with hypersensitivity. Although it can be applied cutaneously and in small doses as bactericide, black pepper oil is irritating to the skin.
