THE FLOWERS: TYPES 1

According to the corolla:

Sympetalous: When the petals are joined, wholly or partly.GAMOPETALA
Polypetalous: If the petals are not joined.DIALISEPALA
Actinomorphic: Can be divided into two exact parts, if a line is drawn from one side to the other, reaching the centre, no matter where the line is drawn (radial symmetry)FALOS
Zygomorphic: Only two symmetrical parts are possible if a line is drawn from one side to the other, reaching the centre. With a single plane of symmetry (bilateral symmetry)ORQUIDEA

Some types of sympetalous flowers:

Regular or actinomorphic

funnel-shaped

campanulate

tubular

Irregular or zygomorphic

bilabiate

BILABIADA

Funnel-shaped flowers are those similar to funnels, very wide at the top and narrower at the base.

campanulate are narrower than tubular, in the shape of a bell.

tubular flowers are longer than wider, in the shape of a tube.

bilabiate flowers present irregular corollas with two very distinctive lips, the upper one made by joining two petals and the lower one by joining three. (See more information about this type of flower in the labiate family)

poppy-family flowers have four petals arranged in two whorls, such as the poppy.

rose-family flowers are regular flowers with five petals, like the wild rose.

cruciform flowers are regular flowers with four petals cross-shaped.

papilionaceous flowers are very peculiar irregular. The present 5 petals. One at the top, called standard or banner; two side ones, called wings, and two joined ones below which form the keel. (For more information)
