Rhamnus myrtifolius Willk – (….)

Perennial shrub of the Buckthorn family -rhamnaceae– till 2 metres tall. Creeping stems. Leaves oval- lanceolate, undivided or toothed, with little prickles. Flowers unisexual, yellowish, without petals and solitary. Fruit in drupe, black when ripening, about 3 mm wide. With other prickly plants in dry lands and specially on calcareous Mediterranean rocks.
