How to make skin masks for acne

Masks are resources that can be used at most once or twice a week for their skin. Masks against acne of the face have an astringent role that is used to remove excess fat that accompanies this anomaly of the skin. At the same time, they manage to nourish the skin of the face for greater smoothness.

One should not only nourish dry skin. Oily skin contains an excess of sebum, but it can also be deficient in water. So, this preparations provide skin hydration as well.

Acne masks will protect the skin of the face against the emergence of pimples. These occur when the sebaceous glands are blocked by excess dust, traces of makeup, dead cells and other debris that prevent the natural outlet of the grease.

Remember that, unlike other preparations such as moisturizers, which can be stored in the refrigerator, masks have a short duration, so they should be used shortly after prepared.

How to apply skin masks for acne

Masks should be applied to the skin in very thin layers of about 1 mm thick. Before their application, they should be put in a water bath to reach about 38 º C, that’s to say, body temperature. It is also important, before applying the mask, to use an exfoliating cream. This allows the masks ingredients penetrate the skin better.

Masks will be applied during a given period, in most cases, typically 15 to 30 minutes. Later, depending on the type of masks, they should cleaned using hot or warm clay water. This type of water is made by pouring four tablespoons of clay per liter of water. Leave it to stand and then remove the water that floats above the clay, which has been deposited in the bottom. Water clay should be left resting for a couple of hours before using.

Besides masks, steam baths, are ideal for removing pimples or blackheads and other impurities from the skin caused by acne. However no steam should be used if pustules are present as these could infect or worse.

If having scars, using wheat germ oil will be very useful, too. If you apply a lotion to your scars, you will improve them very soon. You can buy this product in cosmetic shops, pharmacies or herbalists.

Potatoes and milk mask for acne
Ingredients:

Preparation:

  • Peel and boil the potato.
  • Remove it from heat and place it on a plate. With a fork, crush it well.
  • Heat the glass of milk until it becomes warm. Add milk to the mashed potato and stir until it forms a smooth paste.

How to use it:

Apply a thin layer of this mask to your skin and leave it there for about 20 minutes. Clean it with cold water clay.

Saint John’s wort mask for skin with acne
Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon and a half of St. John’s wort flowers.
  • 4 tablespoons almond oil.
  • 4 tablespoons of oatmeal.
  • Hot water.

Preparation:

  • Introduce St. John’s flowers in a container. Add the almond oil and leave all macerate for 20 days.
  • After being macerated, strain the liquid and pour into a glass container. Gradually add oatmeal, stirring constantly until mixture forms a well blended paste.
  • Save the dough in the fridge.

How to use it:

Warm water and mix the same amount of previous preparation and hot water. Apply a thin layer of this mask to your skin and leave it there for about 30 minutes. Clean it with warm water clay.

Save the mixture without water back into the refrigerator.
