Potentilla montana Brot – (Cinquefoil)

Herbaceous plant of the Rose family -rosaceae- weak stems not much tall than leaves. These remind those of Fragaria vesca L. (Strawberry) but they differ in the fact that the margin is only toothed in the upper part. Leaves green with little hairs or glabrous up but downy below. Long petiolated flowers, white petals from 7 to 9 mm., clearly longer than sepals. In meadows and moors of medium and high mountains.
