May - June. Creamy white flowers  in long hanging  inflorescences. Very swollen trunks at the base. Oval leaves with pointed apex. Fruits in berry, yellow in principle, reddish at the end, toxic. Dioecious  perennial tree that can attain 15 m.
 
 
Abundantly, especially in young samples. (species of tropical origin) as it grows it can tolerate  drought better.
 
 
Square or garden tree. Very used by its  thick foliage, hence its name " Bella sombra tree,which means " good shade tree , in Spanish"  . Also for its  characteristic trunks.
 
 
Sun or demishade.
 
   
From seeds in spring or autumn.  It grows very quickly. We should keep in mind that its  powerful roots can damage the human constructions, so that an appropriate location should be chosen.
 
 
Preferably rich in organic, well crumbled matter.
