European linden, common lime tree

June - July. White flowers in cymes , with bracts  of a similar length to the whole inflorescence . Cordate leaves, serrate, with very long apex, glaucous in the  two faces.. Deciduous tree, hybrid among Tilia cordata and Tilia platyphyllos that  can reach  30 m.
 
 
It requires the soil to be humid, at least in the deepest layers.
 
 
In parks and gardens. For its thick shade and the fragrance of its flowers, as well as its leaves. It resists the contamination very well so that it is very appropriate for the city. It is also cultivated by its inflorescences,with sedative medicinal properties.
