How to grow monkshood (Aconitum napellus)
|Monkshood, aconite or wolfsbane is in bloom from June to September. It produces blue flowers till 2 cm long, helmet-shaped. Corolla as wide as tall.|
Its leaves are divided till half of the blade into subdivided segments.
It is a perennial plant till 1,2 m.
|Water it frequently, daily during bloom.|
|Used for decorations, stony gradients and as a drug. It was also used as a medicinal plant.|
|Place it in full sun in cool places or demishade.|
|Reproduce from seeds in spring or tubers in autumn.|
