Manuka, broom tea-tree or New Zealand teatree is a perennial plant that usually shows a bushy appearance, although some tree specimens are known, up to 10 meters.
It is generally a shrub that is only found in Australia and New Zealand.
In Maori, the language of the native New Zealanders, it is known as Kahikātoa. It is said that Captain Cook named it “tea tree”.
