Mentha aquatica L. – (Water mint)

Perennial plant of the Mint family -labiatae- up to 80 cm. Erect stems, usually hairy. Ovate leaves, petiolated. Violet flowers till 8 mm., in separated round inflorescences. Calyx with narrow teeth. Stamens standing out the corolla. By the side of the streams or stagnant waters.
