Is psyllium a toxic plant?

No, psyllium is NOT a toxic plant at the recommended doses and if taken with a large amount of water.
It is recommended to drink a glass of water for every one and a half teaspoons of seeds and for every 3 or 5 g of seed husks.
If enough water is not taken, psyllium seeds can cause choking in the esophagus or lead to intestinal blockages.
Is psyllium safe for for all people?
In general, it should not cause problems, but some people are more sensitive to its use and it can cause intestinal problems such as flatulence, stomach pain, vomiting, diarrhea, or constipation.
