Herbal shampoo : Soapwort and elder shampoo

Soapwort (Saponaria officinalis) is rich in saponins, which produce much foam in contact with water. Soapwort has been used as an organic soap for a long time, hence the name. It helps to clean your hair without damaging its structure.

Elder (Sambucus nigra) besides having bactericidal properties, possesses anti-baldness properties so it can help stop hair fall.

How to make a shampoo with medicinal plants for dry hair

Ingredients:

  • 10 g of soapwort root.
  • 2 tablespoons of elder flowers.
  • 2 cups of water.

Preparation:

  • In a bowl mix the soapwort root with the elder flowers.
  • Pour over them a couple of cups of boiling water.
  • Cover it and let it stand for 1 / 4 hour.
  • Filter the mixture

Use:

It’s a single use preparation. Stir it well before use.

Apply on your hair abundantly. Leave it there for 5 minutes and rinse your hair well, preferable with mineral or natural water without chlorine. Repeat the process.
