Cistus crispus L. – (Cistus)

Shrub of the Rockrose family -cistaceae- up to 50 cm. Stem covered with white hairs. Oblong, wavy, curly leaves (in Latin “crispus” means “curly”). Very conspicuous flowers about 3 cm in diameter. It is in bloom in May or June. In dry, sandy, siliceous lands.
