Juniperus phoenicea L. – (Savine)Perennial shrub of the Cyprees family -Cupressaceae- up to 8 m. Erect stems, short, branching from the base. Scaly overlapping leaves. Dark reddish fruit when ripe, till 1,4 cm. In rocky or sandy places and continental steppes.
