What are the herbs of Provence?
Herbs de Provence is a preparation made with traditional herbs of the Mediterranean region. Its name derives from the Provence region of France famous for the cultivation of most herbs contained in this preparation:
Its use is widespread throughout the Mediterranean.
Although herbal content is quite variable depending on the region, usually appear the following basic condiments: rosemary, savory and marjoram. You can also add thyme, bay, lavender, oregano, and basil.

How to make some herbs of Provence?
- 1 tablespoon dried rosemary
- 1 tablespoon dried savory
- 1 tablespoon dried marjoram
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano
- ½ teaspoon crushed dry bay
- ½ teaspoon dried lavender
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
Mix all and store food in a cloth bag in a cool and shaded placer. It can also be stored in a glass duster, conveniently tight and dry.
Method of use: Sprinkle meals with a little of this preparation. Best suited for casseroles, grilled meat, barbecues, broth, tomato sauce, fish, marinades, vegetable dishes, etc..
