Rubus idaeus L. – (Raspberry)

Perennial shrub of the rose family -Rosaceae– up to 2 metres. Woody stems, round, reddish and hanging with slim thorns much less resistant than those in the brumbles. Pinnate leaves, bearing 3-7 leaflets with a dense pilosity below. White flowers, 1 cm wide, gathered in inflorescences till 10 flowers each. Aggregate fruit, made with several drupes (polidrupe), non brilliant red and hairy, maturing in summer or autumn.
