What does a cheese toast with aromatic herbs provide us?

A toast with abundant herbs and cheese  is an energy recipe, because it provides energy from the carbohydrates of bread and oil and cheese.

It is also an original and tasty starter, since the mixture of herbs combines very well with goat cheese.

The aromatic herbs give the recipe flavor and color, in addition to its essential oils with different health properties, depending on which plants we choose.

Herbs preparation

  • Wash the nettles with the gloves protection to avoid the stinging effects on the skin.
  • Wash chamomile leaves and caraway.
  • Crush very thin vegetables, with the help of a knife.
  • Mix the herbs with olive oil, until a paste is left.

Toast preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 180ºC.
  • Cut the goat cheese into slices 1 finger thick.
  • Place the slices of bread on an oven tray.
  • Spread the prepared herbs mixture on the  bread.
  • Place the goat cheese on top and cover with more herbs. Optionally, you can  add olives or sliced ​​tomatoes.
  • Bake for 10 minutes and serve hot.

How to serve a herb toast?

Serve it as an entree or accompaniment.
