Almonds contain a multitude of vitamins, with various beneficial effects. Among all of them the main ones are:

Almonds contain abundant B vitamins. In particular, it contains significant amounts of Riboflavin (vitamin B2), since in 100g of almonds we find more than 50% of the recommended daily amount.

This vitamin helps in the production of energy, together with the minerals manganese and copper. They interfere with systems for obtaining energy with oxygen, together with enzymes called flavoproteins. It also interferes with the respiratory chain, improves migraines, nervousness problems, etc.

In addition, among their many functions, it ensures that a protein called glutathione, with an antioxidant effect, can be constantly recycled and prevent cell damage from free radicals, as this recycling cycle is not carried out.

Their niacin (vitamin B3) content is somewhat lower, since 100 g of almonds have 20% of the RDA. This vitamin interferes with the generation of energy in the cells of our body together with pantothenic acid (vitamin B5).

Almonds contain in 100 g of food 15% of the recommended daily amount of a vitamin as important as folic acid (vitamin B9), which is necessary for the formation of structural proteins and hemoglobin in the blood. Their deficit can lead to an increased risk of cardiovascular disease.

It also contains pyridoxine (vitamin B6), which interferes in the metabolism of amino acids and in the production of niacin or vitamin B3.

Vitamin C and vitamin A in almonds?

Almonds do not contain vitamin C and their vitamin A content is very poor, since 100 g of almonds have 1.3% of the recommended daily amount.

Vitamin E in almonds?

Their vitamin E content reaches more than 50% of the recommended daily amount with just a serving of 20 g or 20 units of almonds.

This vitamin has a highly antioxidant effect that exerts a preventive effect against many diseases, due to their premature anti-aging action on cells, tissues and organs such as the skin. Eating almonds will help keep the skin in good condition, preventing anomalies such as wrinkles, stretch marks, spots, etc.

Their consumption increases the levels of vitamin E in the blood, therefore, it will prevent the oxidation of all the substances that reside in the blood, arteries, veins, etc. considering that it reduces the risk of suffering from heart diseases, such as heart attacks, angina pectoris, thrombosis, etc.
