What foods are high in fiber?

In general, a plant-based diet provides the fiber needed to show no health problems. However, when there are special needs of a greater amount of fiber and you wish to obtain it through food, you can use the following list in which foods are especially interesting because of their high content of vegetable fiber.

We must not forget that a diet based on foods high in fiber has many advantages for health care, but under certain circumstances, excessive consumption of fiber may have negative effects it is suggested to consult the chapter “Properties of fiber ” by accessing the listing below.

LIST OF FOODS HIGH IN FIBER CONTENT

Fruits with higher fiber content. Vegetables with higher fiber content. Cereals with fiber.

High-fiber foods classified by food groups from the highest to the lowest amount within each group:

Cereals: Among these we have barley, wheat, oats or rice

Vegetables: especially peas, the soybean, kidney beans, broad beans,

Fruits: The watermelon, currants, strawberries, quinces, radishes, peaches, figs, apples, plums, avocado, pears, papayas, kiwis, mangos, oranges, lemons, pineapples, grapefruits.

Nuts and dehydrated fruits: nuts, dates, peanuts, cashews, pistachios.

Vegetables and vegetables: Peppers, beets, artichokes, potatoes, cucumbers, the asparagus, eggplants, carrots, borage, pumpkins, garlic, lettuce, yucca, spinach, chayote, tomatoes.
