Tea is most recommended for weight loss than coffee

Tea is advised when weight loss is desired because, besides caffeine, contains catechins which increase the slimming and antioxidants effects.

Black tea, for instance, is one of the most caffeinated teas, but it provides half the caffeine of a cup of coffee. Although tea contains half the caffeine than coffee, its catechins collaborate in the slimming properties

The caffeine (or theine) that tea gives us has a gradual effect, because it is absorbed more slowly than the caffeine in coffee.

This property makes the effects of tea not to be so immediate as those of coffee, and, at the same time they last more time. Because you feel “full” for longer, you do not experience anxiety or need to craving for food.

Tea also brings antioxidant polyphenols and minerals that help fight bad circulation, cholesterol, fluid retention and edema, being more appropriate when there is obesity.

Among the types of tea, green tea is most recommended than red tea because its caffeine and catechin content is the most balanced.

In spite of the beneficial properties of tea, we must not forget, that all drinks with caffeine, taken too often or in high doses, can cause insomnia, palpitations or heartburn.
